Our GI group deliberated for several months on whether to switch from our old model of nurse sedation with Versed and Fentenyl to anesthesia provided Propofol sedation. After carefully considering the pros and the cons, we decided to the make the change and we couldn’t be happier with the service that we have received from YPS Anesthesia. Our efficiency has increased, our patients are happier, and as a Gastroenterologist, I feel much more comfortable with anesthesia sedation. We can now do a full day’s caseload in the morning allowing us to see more clinic patients in the afternoon! Additionally, we decreased our payroll by 2 RN FTEs.
With the added efficiency, I scrapped the surgery center expansion because we can now accommodate a higher volume in the same space. All of this, combined with YPS’s service model and ethical billing practices, make me regret not making the change sooner.

Since 2005, YPS has helped our free standing Endoscopy Center to continually exceed efficiency expectations all while decreasing our overhead cost. Our partnership has been an asset to our patients and our facility.

We outsourced our anesthesia services to YPS in January 2009, and we have been very pleased with the level of service and stability that YPS has brought to our Anesthesia Department. The providers have given excellent care, and management has been very receptive and responsive to the needs of our hospital and physician staff.
